The consortium of hotels maintains a service of free buses running along Via Costeira.
Until 2005, this hotel was called Piramide Hotel (see photos to see why); in 2005, the hotel was sold to the Blue Tree chain, a company which operates a few high standard hotels in several States of Brazil.
The hotel is at the northern end of Via Costeira, closer to Praia do Meio than Ponta Negra; the next hotel north is Porto do Mar; towards south, there are two other hotels at a walking distance: Marsol and Parque da Costeira.
Blue Tree has prices in the middle range, among the hotels in Via Costeira; check out this survey on prices of hotels in Natal.
The information below was transcripted from the Blue Tree Natal hotel website:
"Blue Tree Park Natal offers 315 rooms and suites, all with balcony and sea view; all rooms with central air conditioner, cable TV, minibar and safe; there are eight rooms with bathtub. There are triple rooms, for families, and double rooms, with two double beds. The hotel is prepared to receive people with disabilities.
The water park has an area of 10,000 m2, with swimming pools, waterfalls, fountains, wet bar (inside the pool) and hydromassage. The hotel has sauna, games room and a recreation team.
The convention center is the largest one situated in a hotel; the main pavillion has a capacity of 2,500 people; the external area, around the waterpark, may receive 3,000 people (the space may be used for stages and shows).
For children: swimming pool, playground, recreation team and baby kitchen.
The hotel has two restaurants: Dunas (200 seats) and Lagunas (70 seats); at evenings, live music in the restaurants.
Breakfast is composed both of regional and international food.

Main entrance of the hotel. The reception lobby is under a pyramid structure, which used to give name to the hotel.

Statues of the Wise Kings. Blue Tree has probably the nicest outside area of all hotels in Natal: statues, fontains, paintings, trees.
|
The large reception lobby. Notice the Sun coming through the pyramid ceilings.

The swimming pools area.
