There is a service of free buses running along Via Costeira.

The name Porto do Mar means Port of the Sea.
Porto do Mar is next door to Barreira Roxa Hotel (consider paying a visit to the restaurant of Barreira Roxa); both are located in the northern extreme of the Via Costeira, near Praia do Meio and the Historic Center. Going south, towards Ponta Negra, the next hotel is Blue Tree Natal.

Along with Barreira Roxa, Porto do Mar is one of the cheapest options in Via Costeira; check out prices of hotels.

"The Hotel Porto do Mar offers 115 rooms.
All rooms are equiped with comfortable beds, central air conditioned with temperature control, TV, phone, coffer, bathroom with hot water, and a balcony with sea view; some rooms have king size bed.
The hotel offers restaurant, cafeteria, handicraft shop, swimming pools for adults and children (signalized in accordance with international safety norms), bar by the pool, play ground,one of the best squash courts in the Northeast of Brazil, over 10,000 sq.m. of green area, three convention saloons and a business center with broadband access to internet, 24 hours a day.
The breakfast offers regional delicacies, including tropical fruits and watering-mouth sweets.
The hotel provides bar service and a restaurant specialized in regional and international cuisine."
