BRAZILIAN PRODUCTS

This page lists products which may be of interest for the foreigner tourist, and are not so easy to find.

Gemstones
A few shops at Ponta Negra beach sell gemstones (both the gems alone and handcrafted gems). Notice, also, that some restaurants have a small shop inside selling stones and artcraft.

Digital 8 tape
Normal tapes are found everywhere, but Digital 8 tapes are rarer.
Try the shop called Miami, in the upper floor of Shopping Natal, or any of the Swiss Foto shops (there is one at Natal Shopping).

Brazilian perfumes
Brazilian perfumes have less essence than the French ones. Several companies in Brazil have spent money in researching and developing fragrances using Brazilian flowers. Prices are much more affordable.
Watch for these shops at any of the big and medium shopping centers in Natal or anywhere else in Brazil: O Boticario, Agua de Cheiro, L'Acqua di Fiori;all have a similar line up of products at similar prices.

Natural Products
Integral rice, brown sugar, tofu, Weider products, incense, etc. Check out this shop called Mundo Verde (Green World), with one smaller branch at Shopping Cidade Jardim and a bigger branch at Av. Afonso Pena, 813, Tirol, phone 201-2804. Visit their website: http://www.mundoverde.com.br
